Life Ball on 17 July 2010 – Three Cheers for Life!
On the occasion of the XVIII International AIDS Conference that started one day after the big event in Vienna, this year’s Life Ball was very special. On the 17th of July the Life Ball not only took place in the Vienna City Hall and on City Hall Square, but also at the Burgtheater (the former imperial court theatre) with the Red Ribbon Cotillion and the Parliament with the amfAR Gala.

Life Ball and T-Mobile transformed the Burgtheater into a glamorous dance palace where the guests and celebrities were dancing to the performances of David Garrett and Patti LaBelle.

Important personalities at the amfAR Gala Vienna
On July 17, the Parliament of Austria opened its doors for the inaugural amfAR Gala Vienna. This high-profile charity event, benefitting the essential HIV/AIDS research and prevention programs of amfAR, The Foundation for AIDS Research, was held under the patronage of Barbara Prammer, the first female president of the Austrian Parliament. Amongst the guests of honor were H.R.H. Mette Marit, Crown Princess of Norway, H.R.H. Princess Marie-Luise from Prussia, Whoopi Goldberg, Federal President Dr. Heinz Fischer and President Clinton. Music performace by David Garrett and Natalia Ushakova.
